Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with actuarial pricing reviews across a wide range of insurance lines under moderate supervision.
- Contribute to pricing for lines of business written from European offices and through Lloyd’s, including property, casualty, professional lines, medical malpractice, marine, and onshore construction.
- Conduct research and update key pricing parameters within pricing models, such as increased limits factors, loss trends, and base loss costs per unit of exposure.
- Perform annual portfolio assessments across all business classes written through Europe, Asia, and Lloyd’s Syndicate.
- Collaborate with underwriters on account-specific pricing and work to enhance the usability and precision of pricing models.
- Support the development and maintenance of pricing models in Excel and Rulebook.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–5 years of actuarial experience, ideally in London Market pricing, insurance, or reinsurance.
- Progress towards becoming a Fellow with the IFoA or a comparable actuarial body (partly, nearly, or newly qualified).
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Excel; experience with Rulebook, SAS, R, VBA, and GLM modeling.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to learn quickly.
- A high level of ethics and integrity.
