Power BI Analyst

An exciting opportunity for a Power BI analyst to join a  growing analytics team within a leading London Market insurer to focus on reporting and analysis capabilities based on Microsoft Power BI, provide ongoing Business support and improvement/development of new Power BI reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for developing a set of Dashboard reports in Power BI, effectively using Desktop, Report Builder and PBI Service

Responsible for understanding a set of detailed business requirements and translating this into the report development.

Responsible for managing show and tells with the business to playback reports.

Responsible for defect investigation, analysis, triage and resolution.

Responsible for managing the PBI deliverables through a delivery lifecycle utilising PBI deployment pipelines.

Responsible for managing role-level security across multiple workspaces and environments.

Key Skills / Experience

Must be an engaging and dynamic individual able to engage stakeholders effectively contribute to workshops

Must be able to liaise with third party vendors in the interest of the business organisation.Requires a good technical understanding regarding data models, database design and data migration

Must be able to query, trace and analyse databases and data warehouses.

Must be able to document business logic or data calculations as part of analysis activity.

Expert technical SQL skills to enable querying and understanding of the datasets.

Proactively working with others to ensure successful delivery of PBI deliverables, providing regular status reports and up-to-date views of resource utilisation and requirements

Supporting a consistent project management methodology ensuring PBI development activities conform to appropriate governance including all project documentation.
