A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Guidewire Claims Software Engineer to join a leading London Market insurer undergoing a significant transformation and be responsible for maintaining software solutions that enable business operations to achieve  company goals & objectives.  You will perform analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing, and support of software applications.

Key Skills / Experience

  • Practical experience supporting and enhancing Guidewire ClaimCenter (v10 preferable) – Java, Guidewire GOSU is essential.
  • Claims domain experience within the Lloyd’s / London Insurance Market Essential
  • Experience writing and debugging complex SQL queries, working with SSRS, SSIS
  • Knowledge of experience of API design, development and security, including API Gateway configuration - REST, JSON, XML, OAUTH
  • Thorough understanding of CI/CD practices and experience with associated tools – GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker, Harness, AKS / Kubernetes
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards in PowerBI
  • Knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing
  • Experience of cloud computing - MS Azure
  • Working technical knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehousing, design and development of ETL packages, database design, operating systems and Information Management
  • Knowledge of Linux beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience using agile software development principles, process and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of the theoretical and practical application of software engineering best practices, methods & techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of source code change management and related tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills in order to provide end user/business owner systems support.
  • Knowledge of production support processes such as incident and problem management techniques.
